So Franks replacement is to be Felliani! Apparently he'll become a summer signing for £22m (his buyout price) and Everton with their money problems wont be putting up any resistance!
I like him ! Very versatile as an attacking / defending midfielder and can play up front as well! He needs to do something about that hair- do though! They've got a fair few decent barbers in the Kings Rd!

Do we need another attacking minded midfielder? I think not.

Fellaini says he prefers the holding role he plays for Belgium.

Frank needs replacing and I'd take him in a heart beat.

Would be a good signing but far too early to be assured of ariving in the summer. Is he technically gifted enough for what we need though? I would have thought Ramieres and a Modric/Moutinho/Scoles type may be a better fit.

If it was Ramires and one of those then there'd be everyone forward and no strength to protect the detence, that's why I love Mikel who I think Modric/Moutinho would be perfect alongside. Remember how good Modric was beside Parker?

The point is, his versatilty, which will give our manager(whoever that happens to be) options on how to use him, depending on squad availabily/ opposition/competition etc! He's only 25, so can do a 5 year stretch before he's over the hill by Chelsea's standards!

  7. I think someone's pulling your chain, lads. Fellani stated, only last month, when he signed a new contract with Everton, that he sees himself staying at the club for the rest of his career.

You've about as much chance of getting Fellani as we have of getting Xavi.

There is a buy out clause in his contract signed in 2011 which allows him to leave if Everton recieve £22m or more! Everton lost £9m last year and are now £60m in debt. They must part with him and will not stand in his way!

Do you believe everything footballers say?

A player as good as him won't stay there for ever. Unless he has no ambition at all.

Come on HIAG, footballers are always saying this stuff. Modric left within 2 years of signing a 6 year deal.

Almost certainly will go in the summer if his form stays, to us or otherwise. Everton are a selling club these days as long as the money is right.

Our money problems aren't as bad as being portrayed, also why would the club let the papers know there's a £22m buy out clause, if there was then don't you think it would have been triggered already?

I think he will leave, but it won't be until the summer.

You could say the same about Ba last the summer - everyone assumed the buy out would be met and it never was. Lots of clubs don't spend big in Jan.

Re: the buy out - maybe his agent has let it leak to the press to invite offers? Maybe it's all bollox - who knows for sure. If there isn't a buy out I'm sure Everton will release a statement to that effect as it stops a lot of the speculation.

Shogun--The report which was in this mornings Times made it clear that it was a summer signing! Frank Lampard will play on to the end of his contract and be allowed to go on a free, and I think that will be abroad!

Believe it was more along the lines of him willing to stay at Everton provided he got European/Champions League football which there is a decent chance they can finish 4th this year.

Does he prefer the holding role? He's been unstoppable playing further forward this season, I've heard some Everton fans say he's not nearly as effective when he plays farther back. I don't watch Everton enough give my opinion though.

Would be an interestin signing for us if he did come

We are already impressive in aerial attacks with the likes of Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz and now Ba, adding Fellaini gives us even more to aim at

Like has been said he would give us strength in the middle of the park

Fellani is a good player but would alter our style because when he has played as a second striker in the hole behind Jelavić for Everton, Fellani uses his strength to hold off his man, holds he ball up excellently and likes a long ball delivered onto his chest so he can control the ball to link up the play. He attacks corners very well as well. He has scored 8 goals for Everton this season.

Fellaini would be literally perfect for us. He's a must buy in my opinion!
