Morning Fellas (or afternoon where you are). Really pleased reading the reports on the web this morning about last night but a bit concerned that some posters are getting carried away after a couple of good performances.

Reading the comments posted on the BEP website makes it sound like Del is the Messiah (which he may turn out to be over time) and that we are out of the woods.

Yes, we have reason to be optimistic now but let's keep our feet firmly planted on the ground and not get too carried away. We are still in a relegation spot and we still have proved nothing at home yet, a vital reason for our current league position. It's often said that the players perform with more freedom away from Ashton Gate as the crowd are not on their backs and only hard core fans follow them on the road.

Let's make sure that we don't drop our heads and become boo boys if the team doesn't live up to the current hype over the next few weeks, especially at home. Del is obvioulsy a far superior man manger and tactician than the previous manager but he cannot be expected to work miracles. Give the man time.

Of course, miracles would be most welcome.....

Feet on the ground most assuredly, but it's blumming nice to feel positive about City again!

I've got high hopes for next season (but then I normally do, this season being an exception), with a bit of a clear out and a few new players I honestly believe we can challenge next season. It seems that there's always 1 tough season to get promoted and 1 "easier" season the next. I strongly feel that next season, the teams coming down will struggle to bounce straight back up (unlike the WHU and Birmingham's of this season) so it leaves a better chance for the rest of us.

Hope is always a good thing ;)

The main part of being a BCFC fan is the uncertainty of our next game and seeing some raised expectations is a positive change for the better. The club has faffed around now for too many years and I hope that the tide has turned in our favour at last.

DM has still to stamp his own authority on the squad but I see light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in many years, but of course we cannot expect miracles overnight. All we ask is a team that actually goes out and performs competitively every weekend and give us value for money. Look forward to the rest of the season with Del in charge.

from my stats post, pre the game with WHU.....and what happened? the worst thing Barnsley,Florest and Millwall won,we need the teams in the bottom 10 to draw when playing against other bottom 10, otherwise it makes it harder to even play catch up, we were a win and a draw fom getting out of bottom 3 now we are 2 wins and a draw....like tamps says YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND

Good post, and I feel exactly the same way. We're in a huge fight for Championship survival still, but I think we all feel a bit more optimistic than we did a month ago!

Need to stick together, fans, management and players but we really could do with 3 points today
