Although Paul Jewell wouldn't be drawn on names, TWTD is reporting that Town are set to sign two players, likely to be Stockdale and JET on Monday: "Iâm not trying to be evasive but hopefully weâll have two new players in the building on Monday. âI have to be respectful. Iâve been in the game long enough and donât want to say something that people could take offence to and change their minds. But Iâll be disappointed if we donât have two new players available for the Colchester game. âOne is a loan and one is a permanent signing. When I got on the bus today, as far as I was aware, fees were agreed. Nothing official, but I think Iâll be disappointed if it doesnât progress over the weekend.â
Don't hold your breath guys! PJ made a similar statement about 10 days ago saying that there would be new signings by Tuesday and Thursday of last week! Even if we get these 2 in it still doesn't begin to address the major problems we have in defence at Right Back and Centre Back.
Maybe you should see if you can get George Francomb on a loan for the season, seeing we have Naughton and R Martin, we won't be playing him I doubt but he is a good player.
