Yeah - he did look good before he had the injury.

He looked alright and that's about it. Ollie Younger showed the most potential I've seen in any of our young lads for beards. I'm hoping he becomes a first teamer and goes through the leagues with us, I really think he is that good.

I don't know much about him. What's his preferred position and what are his strengths?

Thanks to Parkinson we have about 12 centre halves so it's no surprise that Lee Johnson wants to tweak his squad

Ball playing centre half. He looked great in the air and strong in the tackle. He's like our mini Van Dijk.

Yeah okay, I might be going a little OTT.

I think I'd rather keep Feeney and take a mulligan on pomo johnson.

In all honesty I'm happy to go along with any ins and outs with the new people in charge ...

... I'm sick to death of second guessing everything.

I just want to trust the club, to do the very best they can, and get back to being a daft lad cheering on his team and singing his head off.

Haway the Lads, whoever you may be.

Amen. I am surprised by this but genuinely trust Speakman and Johnson explicitly and will do so until I have genuine reason not to - and that’s at least a year away and hopefully a lot longer.

The man in question is someone earning a mere £750-per-week; Morgan Feeney. The 21-year-old still hasn’t made his Black Cats bow in the league but he was held in high esteem by the recently departed Sunderland manager Phil Parkinson.

No chance he’s only earning that having come from a premier league club, even as a youth prospect

Did you click on the link? Many peculiarities - Grigg would need a 35% raise to take home what Scowen does.

Seems very injury prone unfortunately. Probably a good player when fit but it's a risk.

Not sure how true this is, from what I can see, the Liverpool echo is the only place reporting this, and they say his contract is up today, yet he signed a one year deal, so can only talk to teams from today, he's not a free agent yet. I might have missed something and it's been confirmed elsewhere.

Would make sense to trim defence with playing a different system, but just not sure the story holds any weight. Not arsed if he leaves as we have ample cover.

everywhere reported it as a 1 year deal, but the SAFC website says “short term”, which would definitely corroborate it being up in January, otherwise they’d have said 1 year.

looks like a journo guessed it was a whole year and loads copied.

Ah, fair enough. Please tell me Danny Graham had the same deal.
