The news from Luton is as bad as it gets for O’Kane as it’s actually a double break of tibia and fibia. He will not play again this season, which means he wont have really played all this season since Bielsa moved him into the ‘Dont want’ list. He came on as a sub last week for a few minutes and started yesterday but rushed to hospital. Hope he gets well and fit enough to play again. So after his operation in Luton today I expect he will be back under Leeds medical staff?

Our old mate Lassoga scored another hat trick yesterday so hes actually scored 7 goals in 5 games for Hamburg.

Ideguchi also scored his first goal for his German side too, so it seems hes playing a starring role now so Im pleased for him.

as I was one of the people who thought Lassoga was a better striker than we gave him credit for, I am now of the opinion that if we had a decent manager last season he would have scored near on 30 goals for us.controversial I know but his record is pretty good. However he would have zero chance of ever getting a game at Bielsaball Leeds. Lassoga needs a strike partner which he never got last season and never got the balls he needed so ended up creating most of his goals for himself. Bielsa would have classed him as too slow, not mobile enough and has never used a lump up front in a 4-4-2.

Anyone know how the player insurance system works? I’m guessing that if your player is injured and unavailable to you his wages are paid for by the insurance? We know the FA pay for players who get injured on International duty and players take out big insurance policies in the event of getting an injury that curtails their careers. So are Luton paying O’Kanes wages whilst hes out or are an insurance policy

Always liked him myself, and he wouldn't be a lump with Bielsa, just think how good he could be 2 stone lighter.

Sod’s Law for o’kane he finally decides to put a tackle in and this happens. Nah seriously wouldn’t wish this on anyone, horrible injury and o’kane always gave his best... no midfielders have flourished at Leeds until this year. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Lasogga was just immobile. If you could somehow get the bell to his feet he was ok. Would never fit in with bielsa ball.

Contrary to popular opinion there wasn’t actually an ounce of fat on him... all muscle so I’m told.

He's playing in the German 2nd division. He was too slow and cumbersome IMO.

As for O'Kane, the abuse he got from our fans and some on here was embarrassing. Stop with the crocodile tears.

Pretty much agree with you. He had skills & we didn't use them properly. In fact, the balls into space that Roofe should have got went to Soggy, and conversely, the balls to feet that Soggy should have got went to Roofe! Said it many times last season & couldn't believe we could fcuk up so ridiculously. Result? 2 strikers misfiring when they had the capability to be great (as this season is showing). The question is - was this fcukup under managerial direction, or was it just stupid decisions by players? I don't honestly know.

Think I can only remember 2 Lassoga goals where he got on the end of a cross and one of those he had no right to score from it as the ball was behind him and he still got his head on it and burried it. All his goals were usually created by himself and for most of the time was a spare part waiting for it. Management was garbage as we can now clearly see. A big unit will always look like a lazy lumbering fat git if he isnt doing anything useful in a game and its like we played with only 9outfield players when Lassoga played if they couldnt bring him into the game.

Wakey, not sure if you're aware, but Bielsa has stated publicly that he only has PLAN A, and that when Plan A is not working, you continue with Plan A! He bases this on the fact that he's worked out that Plan A is the most efficient way of winning a match.

I have no idea if he's right or wrong with this, but that's what we're stuck with. So no big lump, unless he can run like a hare. Like Edmondson, actually! :)

Wakey have you seen Bielsas comments on Roberts? He said he was very happy with Roberts because he had 5 chances tomscore so did his job getting those chances. If he had scored he would have been a hero but sometimes doing a great job means you dont score but get praise for not scoring?

Probably lost in translation but think he was saying Roberts deserves praise for the things he did, but was unlucky too.

I think you're being unfairly harsh on him. Even Bielsa said he played ok. Bielsa said he's happier for him to get into positions than scoring an actual goal. Guess if you're in the right place at the right time, then it's just a matter of time. He's 19, raw & 3rd choice. Support him! Pretty please?

EDIT: Bugger, Doc got in before me as i was typing. Slowly with 1 finger, as usual. :(
