Federer v Nadal

Looks like it could be a cracker.

Federer takes the first set 7-6 (7-5)

 

Nadal fights back to take the 2nd set 6-2. Looks like the tie is swinging in favour of the younger man.

 

And Nadal takes the 3rd set 7-6 (7-5). Fair play to Federer for hanging on in there but will the loss that set be too much for him?

 

So it's to be a Nadal v Murray or Djokovic final.

Fair play to Federer, he pushed Nadal all they way.

I tipped Nadal in the prediction thread and I'm still tipping him to take the AO title.

Well, I think if Andy can get passed Djokovic, then I'll be quietly confident that he could take the title.

I realise that I'm in a minority with my optimism.

And about Fed vs Nadal, after Nadal won the 2nd set it always looked likely that he'd go on to win it. I was just really hoping Fed would push him hard and make him work for the win to possibly take a little bit out of him going into the final. Nadal did look good though so Murray or Djokovic will need to play very well to beat him
