    Federer is ranked world #7 in the run-up to the US open!!! Is it now time for him to retire? Is there anything left for him to achieve and if so is it now possible for him to achieve it given his age?

    Aye, it's always a shame when top professionals like Fed start slipping down the rankings. He should have retired after he beat Murray at Wimbledon.

    I think he's won just about everything and holds a load of records so there's nothing left for him (apart from his enjoyment of the game, of course).

    Yes he should've done a Borg and quit when ahead though I do think BB could have stayed at the top a little longer, he really did quit at the peak of his career.
