Fecking get in!!! - My thoughts on the Blackburn match

This has got to be the most satisfying result so far this season, or at least on par with the mackem game.

We're playing so much ****ing better without that pile of ****e Shola upfront. Ba and Best are a very good upfront pair. Best didn't have a great day today, his finishing was way off, but even so, he played quite well.

I think it's definitely time for Ober to come off for a bit and we try Marveaux for a bit. Even though we scored 3, we lack a final ball at times. Jonas and Ober both lacked a final product and it spoiled some of our attacks.

We absolutely annihilated Blackburn today, and we deserved to win by 5-6 goals, but i don't give a ****.

We looked a bit shakey at the back at times, but nothing too serious.

Ratings

Krul - 7 - Played well. Lacked a bit of communication with the back at times, but claimed some balls well, and his positioning and instincts were very good.

Simmo - 6.5 - Not bad. He ****ed up a bit at times, but he's much better than the start of the season.

Taylor - 8 - Strong performance at the back

Colo - 8.5 - Very good performance from captain Colo.

Raylor - 6.5 - Good performance. Looked a bit shakey at times, but overall he did well, much improved over his QPR performance, and put in an excellent challenge to deny Blackburn a goal, after an excellent cross from Hoilett.

Ober - 7 - Some great runs, no, some fantastic runs, but 90% of the time his final ball was just a bit off. You can see the potential, but he just needs to keep going.

Cabaye - 7 - A little bit quieter than his Villa performance, but he made some excellent passes and some decent tackles.

Tiote - 8 - Awesome. Glad to see the old Cheick back.

Jonas - 7 - Won us the free kick that lead to our 2nd goal, made some great runs and played a part in some of our attacks.

Ba - 9 - Excellent performance. He's much better now he's off the Ramadan, and he looks much better playing with a good partner, not ****ing Shola. Hatrick hero!

Best - 6.5 - Good work rate, decent link up with Ba and Ober, but his shooting and work in front of goal was quite poor. Still, 9 goals in 13 starts, fantastic.

Hatem - 7 - I'd give him higher but he only played 15 mins so i'll give him a 7. Some silky skills, almost got an assist after 30 seconds of being on the pitch and he started and almost finished a great move. A few of his passes were just a tad short, but you can see the potential. Good cameo.

Marv - N/A - Didn't play enough but looked sharp.

Overall - FECKIN GET IN!!! - I'm glad we're starting games well, and finishing them even better.

We looked like the team we hoped we'd be, and we're hopefully gonna scrap the hoofball ****e, and stay with the passing style.

We made a few mistakes that could have cost us today, but we're still developing our new style. We sometimes just fall asleep, but I'm not going to go into the very few negatives today.

Obertan was better than Jonas today. It's obvious he needs a bit of confidence, but I think that is slowly coming into his game. He lacked a final ball again a few times today, but as you say some of his runs were fantastic, Jonas didn't do much really.

 

Probably a little bit harsh on Simmo, but that's what I'm gonna stick with lol

 

Get in Leon and Stevey Taylor both with asists today but feckin Rooney didn't play! >: (

General consensus on twitter is Tiote or Ba for MOTM, Obertan also got loads of votes. Mine would be Ba, got to hand it to him, very good hat trick.

 

Bit harsh on Obertan he was solid

 

Also, Simpson was the best crosser today, Obertan beats the man then Simpson puts a decent enough cross in.

 

Obertan wasn''t as good as people say and I agree with tash

 

Obertan was helped by Givet giving him acres of space. But deserves a 7 imo.

 

I have to question this one also, harsh on Simpson and Obertan is definitely more than 6.5

 

Actually yeah, a bit harsh on Simmo now i think about it. I'll give him a 6.5 which i think is fair

 

You may have to have a rethink on Obertan, he had a better game than you're giving him credit for, 7.5 at least.

 

The new sports direct signs are ****ing annoying. They take away attention from the Newcastle United sign.

 

If he doesn't produce a good final ball throughout the match then he doesn't get a high rating in my books. At least Jonas passes well and wins free kicks by skinning players.

Ober made some great runs, but he frustrates the **** out of me with ****e passes and crosses. Ok I'll give him a 7 because he looked more confident and lively.

 

Think thats the point of advertising.
