Gervinho brace. He looks like the real deal <ok>

Jenkinson takes the crown from Dixon for the most spectacular own goal scored.

    Frimpong looked good again.

    Thoughts?

I thought we played well in the 1st half but all the subs didn't help the 2nd half performance. All in all, i was satisfied with the performance <ok>

Gervinho look great for sure, and both he and Walcott caused Koln plenty of problems together what with their swapping wings and sly runs. Wilshere was his usual high-calibre self too.

The first half was very good, the second was average.

Anyone know the damage to Conor Henderson. The injury didn't look good. Knee ligaments maybe?

Almost identical to the game against Asia. 1st half was different class.

    Nasri was ****e again.

Ramsey looking much better than Nasri in the middle.

Gervinho was always a threat - incredible pace and looked alert. I enjoyed the first half, it was competitive and entertaining. However, the 2nd half reminded me of an England friendly under Sven where he'd bring on a whole different team after the break and then the game would drift away into nothing.
You'd think bringing Rosicky, RVP and Nasri on would have a positive affect on the game but all 3 were quiet. Maybe they just need time to get going.

And just to set the record straight. Jenkinson's sublime own goal was topped by
    <cracker>TWO GOALS FOR GERVINHO <cracker>

  13. I know Arsene seKRETly follows this forum and makes note especially of what Jayram says :emoticon-0102-bigsm so if as we are expecting, the Frenchman is banking on the coming season, then I too hold a belief that thought should be given to offloading Nasri. It's nothing personal Samir since I have admired much of your talent especially in the first half of the previous season and you cheered me up greatly when I was in my hospital bed watching your brace of goals against Alex's army back in November 2008. However the inconsistency this year and especially when we needed you in the final run simply makes me very edgy as to the wisdom of not allowing you to leave for a not unreasonable fee of anything upwards of 20 mil. That sort of money could buy us someone pretty capable and who wants to be in an Arsenal shirt.

A change wouldn't be a bad thing for the club since it could very well provide the other players with an opportunity to step up. We did look good when Thierry Henry left and for a while, the EPL was within reach. Who knows what changes this time round could bring?

Gervinho has made a great first impression. Like his debut very much. Lots of promise.

I thought that first half was great. Good to see wilshere and ramsey playing well. Great debut by gervinho, but i still have doubts about him.
