Another night of abject European pragmatism awaits.. Will we try and score? Will Jose set us up not to lose. I can barely wait.. Haven't decided if I'm going to watch or continue reading my book.. Interesting fact: I once spent two days trying to find the hotel that used as fawlty towers in Torquay without success.. was before the days of google...
Really awful boring game. In a way it doesn't make a difference. The matches between Basel and united are 3-1 in United s favour. So United have qualified already... unless they lose 7-0 at home to CSKA. AND...top of the group too.
You do have to feel sorry for the RS. When the so called pundits are struggling with this, the RS fans have absolutely no chance.
I fairness it's just the one, he struggles with a lot of things. Some of the PMs I have had from his fellows are hilarious
"We didn't score in the second half probably [because of] the fact that we know one point is enough. Probably [when] at 75 minutes, 80 minutes we didn't score, so it is not time to try to win, it is now time to try control and in the end we lost." ~Jose admits we played for a draw and didn't try to win
How you equate posting on a forum during a match as proper support is beyond me! I don't post on here much at all during games, usually because I can't be arsed and also because I'm actually watching the game.
If we played for a draw we didn't half accidently create a **** load of chances first half. He's not admitting that at all, he's accusing his players of settling for a draw when they knew there was twenty minutes left. That they failed to carry it through is a pain in the arse but I can't see us losing seven nil at home so not the end of the world.
We created a few chances but never really attacked and pushed for a goal like we can. The result isn't a problem but the attitude of settling for a draw isn't what you'd hope for. Jose can put it on the players but he's ultimately responsible for our approach. In my opinion it's typical Mourinho dogmatism. Even King Eric just reiterated his unfavorable view of Jose's conservative play style: - https://www.101greatgoals.com/news/manchester-united-legend-slams-jose-mourinho/ I guess it's not what I came to expect of United after so long under Fergie's proactive, attacking approach.
OK. 12 posts before, during and after. Piss poor. What's happened to your lot on here? It's quieter on ours than it used to be, but not this ****ing bad Second day of the test went well
