How good are we? We'll soon find out playing one of Europe's best. It will give us a good gauge on what level we're at and what level this years Premiership is running at too, as we are one of the best Prem teams at the moment.

Can't we just build a wall in front of the goal?

 

We'll need star trek's enterprise deflector shields to keep Barca's front three out. No point in parking the bus as we simply don't know how to do it. Play the way we know how to play, attack! We have to be clinical. Ozil has to have a great game and our front three has to be a lot more clinical than they've been, if we stand a chance to win.

I'd like to see Elneny and Coquelin sitting in front of the back 4. Walcott and Sanchez on the wings. Ozil through the middle and Giroud up front. We're not going to enjoy much possession in this game, so I think we'd do better to soak up pressure and try to hit them on the break.

 

We need to come out flying, especially in the first 20 minutes, I can't see the point of sitting back from the start against this lot, because eventually one of their front three will pick a gap and punish us. Barca have played loads of games this year, so we need to start fast and put intense pressure on them, especially their back four and not allow them to build attacks from the back and dictate the tempo, especially from the start, because if we do that, then they will just build up a head of steam and eventually roll us over, we need to start like we did against Bayern in that where Ozil missed the pen, when we get tired, then we can drop back and hopefully keep a proper defensive shape and press well in certain areas of the pitch, while playing counter attacking football.

 

I thought we were very good against Leicester recently in this way. We started really brightly and pressed them high up the pitch, stopping them from building through the middle. We also had a lot of the ball that day, but struggled to convert our chances. The difference for me tonight is whether we can be clinical in front of goal, because we will create chances to score.

We have a strong bench, Welbeck and Walcott with their pace can cause problems if they come on during second half.

 

I see barca have picked a bunch of unknowns - don't know what we were worried about...

 

They look mighty good, but if we're on our own game, Ozil-Sanchez-Giroud can cause a lot of problems. Hopefully our players are fully up for it and don't play with fear, we have the players who can hurt Barca, thats what our players need to be thinking, and what Wenger needs to be telling them.

 

Ramsey-Coq are going to be vital in midfield, they need to hold the fort down, if they don't, Barca will hurt us.
