Brand of baked beans. So who is going to own up and say aldi beans? Anyone got a favourite? Any particular brand that provides exemplary wind? For me branston beans are the best. Lightly toasted thick white bread, branston beans warmed up in a pan, douse them over buttered toast, Little splash of Worcester sauce. Viola a gourmet meal. Have been known to really push boundaries and spread marmite on the buttered toast then the beans.
Branston is far superior to standard Heinz. The Heinz five bean thing is quite good. Big fan of beans, me. Cold out the tin is a fine snack.
Never been a fan of cold beans. My mate always used to carry around tins of beans and when stoned would just pry open a tin and sit there eating them.
Yeah they’re inferior to their heated cousins but when you really can’t be arsed there’s the added benefit of not needing a bowl. Tuna and beans go together surprisingly well for some extra protein.
That’s weird. Cheesy beans now there’s a thing. Buttered toast, marmite, slice of processed cheese then beans then a splash of Worcester sauce. Michelin star that mate.
To be scientific. You also need to get the wife to conduct said experiment and not tell you which is which. You could perhaps supply her with a list of various varieties of beans to procure. My suggestions would be Lidl, Aldi, Asda, Tesco premium ones, and some kind of supermarket value brand. All should be heated on the stove and not microwave. Always feel the beans which ever brand taste better heated on the stove slowly.
Value brands yes. That said I don’t mind Lidl own brand. Tesco premium are acceptable. Just googled it and found this article from last year; https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....e-brand-that-is-less-than-half-the-price/amp/
