Was reading a blog on the beeb about world cup italia 90. Nearly went misty eyed reading it and thinking back to it. For me its my favourite world cup - probably not for you jocks mind. I'll never ever ever forget that feeling when packie bonner saved the penalty v Romania and David O'Leary scored the winner in the last 16.

Loved the whole world cup - cheering on everyone who played England and especially Cameroon

Also Toto Schilachi is a name i'll never forget - depite never hearing of him before or after that tournament!

1994 when Ireland beat Italy and 2002 when we scored a last minute equalizers against Germany and Spain were special - but 90 shades it for me! Still get goose bumps watching replays or even the film the van - even though i know the outcome as it was 20 ****ing years ago

So whats yer own favourite world cup? Or favourite world cup memory?
