Don't think this has been done before, would be interesting to see the verdict. Sorry it's limited to 15 so have tried to pick the most likely players... If you think someone else just make it known... Other likely players: Hudd, Pav, Corluka, Rose, Giovani, Livermore, Gomes, Friedel, Cudicini
I voted for VDV who currently leads, yet unbelievably even last week there were some Spurs fans advocating dropping him, which I found shocking and would have been angry about, had it happened. Fortunately, Harry is in charge, not those who would have dropped a player who has the quality of Greaves when it comes to finishing ability, and is a street fighter to boot, who is never intimidated wherever he plays. Certainly, not what I've seen of him, whilst at Spurs.
Got to be King, for me. He's just outstanding, when he's fit. The whole team performs better, from front to back. This is probably one of the few sides that we've had where I could name an XI that I'm perfectly happy with, though. When everyone is fit, we've got some fierce competition for places.
Although early, thought this would be more even, suppose that's what you get when making a poll the day after the man scores a double to earn an undeserved 3 points...
I really like watching Sandro play, he's an excellent alround player and I hope he stays for the longterm.
Despite the crap we had to put up with all summer long, I went with Modric - indeed, the fact he's knuckled down and is enjoying playing for us is another reason why.
Voted Ledley but pleased to see who else is getting mentions in the poll. Would agree with VDV, Modric, BAE as worthy of being favourites. And a special mention for Sandro: he's not played many games for us yet but I can't help but feel that he's a bit special. The way he gets clean tackles in really is awesome and he can use a ball too. I rate him highly enough to actually put a tiny bit of credence in these stories about clubs in Europe being interested. If I had three votes (say we were doing this AV-style) then I'd possibly have to give a vote for Dawson too. First time I saw him play for Spurs I thought "Blimey - this guy's not gonna take long to settle in" and he's been an excellent servant for the club ever since. Might not even get in the team if everyone was fit but hopefully will be at Spurs for a long while to come - I think successful teams need people like him around.
Exactly Ensil, we thoroughly deserved the three points as we were the only side trying to play football throughout the match. Rovers for the most part only looked dangerous through a typical 'Allardyce performance' (how ironic is that) of lumping the ball forward from set pieces. We were the moral victors and also , thankfully, the actual victors.
Interesting to see no votes for Bale yet. This time last year he would almost certainly be up there in the popularity stakes I voted Luka
King. There's some other of my favourite players in there too, the likes of Modric, Walker etc. but Ledley is special
Yeah...Gareth's gone a bit AWOL since the injury he picked up last year (which they stupidly rushed him back from). Im really concerned about the lad at the mo. Anyways, Ledders all the way for me. Man is a (just about) walking legend.
King for me too. He is a loyal servant to the club and is one of the best defenders I have ever seen. Such a shame he has had so much trouble with his knee.
Has to be King Ledley. Any man who has given his knees in our cause demands complete loyalty. The one player that is never properly replaced - although Kaboul looks to be developing well.
Who said Adebayor? A bit previous I think. May go on to be a legend, but has made a good, not great, start.
