Probably one for the older Saints fans. We take it for granted that every minute of games are captured on tv cameras these days. Wasn't that long ago that highlights were hit and miss and could go weeks without seeing Saints goals.
So what memorable Saints moments can you remember that weren't shown on TV ??
Colin Clarke goal versus Spurs. One of the best goals I've seen live. Straight from a goalkick, one bounce over Clarke's shoulder with him on the half turn and it hit it on the volley from 30 yards into the top corner. Absolute screamer.
Franny Benali red card v Wimbledon. At Plough Lane, John Fashanu had the ball on the wing, Franny came flying in, scissor kicking Fash into the 3rd row of seats. Red card, instant cult status. I think everyone in the ground's jaw dropped, not believing what they saw. Even the hardman Wimbledon team didn't pile in afterwards, just stood there in disbelief. Really was a turning point for Benali. Was seen as a bit of an embarrassment up to that point, but thats when he started to become a cult hero.
