Saying this before tomorrow because hopefully...whatever is said will be replaced with the memory of tomorrow! So, what has been your fondest memory so far this season, and maybe your least fond? For me, without a doubt millwall away. 2 goals at the end right in front of us in a game we weren't really in before then! Will probably never forget the scenes at full time/ after the match at London bridge station. Personally thought at the time to be the start of the final push for promotion! On the other hand, Pompey home or Boro away. Pompey home for obvious reasons...was gutted about it..funny to think if Norris misfit his volley we'd be promoted by now. Boro away just for the fact it was so far away and would have been perfect IMO to win it up there
Rickie's hat trick goal against Coventry tomorrow. I have crystal balls, so have to be careful when I sit down! From the past that opening when we blew Leeds away still creates a warm feeling, but yeah, that Millwall game about takes it because of the late rally.
Leeds home, perfect start Boro home 3rd goal Hearing we broke the record attendance record v wham The moment the news broke that we had signed sharp Going 1-0 up at home to Pompey 6k at palace, there was only 1 winner thanks to us Tomorrow
Leeds away. I was in the pub. Hell of an atmosphere. Of course, it shall be eclipsed by Saints win tomorrow!
Hard to pinpoint a moment from this wonderful season however I'm sure Leeds away will live long in the memory. After that it seems as though it is meant to be.
Has to be the Leeds game for me personally. I had bought tickets for a one day music festival months in advance that just so happened to fall on the day of the game. So I promised myself that I would avoid the Saints score until I could get back and watch a recording of the match in real time and fully experience the game. Coming in to Victoria Coach station I walked past a guy in a Saints shirt looking glum which got me panicking for the whole journey back but I managed to resist turning my phone on. Then as the coach drove through Bedford Place I heard a group chanting Saints songs which I took as a good sign. So glad I waited in the end although I did have to apologise to the neighbours after waking them 3 times in the early hours of the morning as I cheered each goal in.
I still think the Leeds at home was the best. It showed everyone what we are capable of. More importantly, it showed the players themselves what they could achieve and they haven't look back all season.
I watched the Leeds game in a Ladbrokes because I had to go to the theatre about 10 mins after it finished. No pubs nearby were showing SS2 and wouldn't change even though I asked them all. So I had to make do with a tiny screen next to about 10 screens of horseracing and lots of angry men. It was great Millwall away, was listening on the radio. Couldn't really believe it. Then Saturday, for obvious reasons. I probably enjoyed Fonte's goal the most. When a goal like that goes in, you know it's your day. Then I truly started to believe
Was going to add to this the other day, but I thought I'd wait. Now I'm glad I did. So, the best highlights for me would be... the first game of the season and the last, with a little bit of Middlesbrough at St Marys thrown in.
Saturday was the best day I have had involving footy. The atmosphere was incredible. "Stand up if you're going up" looked amazing from the Northam. Like a mexican wave all around the stadium of people standing up, and it was so loud it was deafening. Sent a shiver down my spine! And watching the BBC highlights of nige and the players nearly brought a tear to my eye, which never happens! Everyone was in such good spirits on saturday before and after the game, you could hear car horns from all over the city.. Brilliant.
saturady just gone was THE BEST . I also loved the Pompey game , I know we drew and , to me , it felt like a loss , but My younger sister went with me ( lives in exeter ) she is a mad saints fan & First game she went to this year , so made up that she could get to go to a derby Game
