To give us something to talk about related to football i thought i would do this. Out of the CURRENT squad who is your favourite player. Is it Kasper Schmeichel for his performances and passion. Sol Bamba for his style of play. Lee Peltier for his commitment. Paul Gallagher for the moments of brilliance he comes up with. Bruno Berner for his service to the club. Andy King for coming through the ranks and scoring the goals. Richie Wellens for being the tedious midfielder and his ability to create. Lloyd Dyer for the same reason as Bruno. David Nugent for his 100% effort and goals or Super Steve for his effort he brings to the team and service

Or dont you like any of the current lot that much?

Mine would have to be Kasper as he is brilliant and if he dont like what he sees he will say

Kasper was our best summer signing. I still think King is our best overall player, even if he isn't scoring the goals of previous season. Nugent works hard too, but again, isn't score enough. Some width to the team may help both of these. Wellens deserves a mention for his hard work too.

Overall, I'd probably say Kasper as he's been the most consistent this season. Consistency has been the problem this year.

    Frank Worthington ...

... with Keith Weller only marginally behind ..."Those were the days my friends .." as one of my all time favourite Spion Kop anthems used to go .. before the PC numpties took control , made us all sit down and generally sucked the life blood out of the most amazing atmosphere in sport ...

Yep, I'll go with Schmeichel but starting to really like Nugent's character - defo up for it.

    Kasper for me, been solid.

Even better that it really annoys the Leeds fans we only paid 1m for him (They are slagging him off on there boards at the moment saying the best thing they did was get rid but you just know it bugs them).

Nugent!! closely followed by Kasper for me. Outfield players have to work that much harder and with the very little service Nugent has been given, he has done fantastic!!!

True, but as I said, I think you have to look at consistency when picking the most successful player. Kasper as been this in every game, Nugent as had one or two games where he's been found wanting.

...then disappoints you with his end product!

I'm really surprised you said him :)

Dunno tbh, hate all of them at the moment <laugh>

I met Gally and Wellens before the Boro game in 2010 (last game of the season) so probably those 2, though even if I hadn't met them I do like their styles of play. Nugent has quickly won me over too. They are all characters on and off the pitch which I like in footballers, and individually, I like Nugent for his hard work, Wellens cos he seems an old fashioned type and he plays up to the crowd when he's in the mood and, I like Gally for his screamers, especially the Forest one ;)

Schmeichel has been the best no doubt.

Poor lad. Thought he'd got back to fitness for good. Has he been any good when he's played?
