Stepping aside from the usual end of season transfer speculation, I thought I'd do a poll (another one!) to see what people's favourite goal this season was. Apologies if I have happened to miss out your favourite, please write it below if I have.
Was nice to see Schneiderlin score that long-range effort against Forest. Hammond and Lallana both scored great goals in the opening game which made me realise that back-to-back promotions would not be too unrealistic. And it was short-lived, but Sharp's late goal against Pompey was Moran-esque. Shame they equalised.
It's between De Ridder's equaliser at Reading (purely for the mental celebrations in which I travelled upwards about 4 rows) and Billy's little half-volley against Pompey...
Man mountain jaidi I misread the question best goal of season, as one of my favorite goals was Guly's turn and shot from 20 yds out against blackpool in the fa cup Fav goal was Tadanari Lee against Derby, great build up and a rising shot from edge of box, mwah !!
There have been some crackers this season, but the one that showed the all round quality of the side, and gave me the most pleasure was the team goal, finished off by Connolly, against Middlesbrough. Brilliant.
If this is about "favourite" and not necessarily the best then it has to be Hammond against Leeds for me. Although I was very confident going into the season we are always poor on the opening day, we never win on TV and I think are record against Leeds isn't that great. When that goal went in I just knew it was going to be a great season.
My favourite goal was Lallana away at Ipswich when Morgan scooped the ball over the defender onto Adams chest and he put it past the keeper. Quality.
Lambert vs Leeds is one of the purist strikes I have ever seen. Even if the keeper got something behind it, he was going into the back of the net with it.
