Well it's nearly Friday again and it seems appropriate to discover what peoples favourite fish is? I like most kinds but I don't think you can beat a yellow haddock done poached in milk on the hob with some coarse black pepper for seasoning. Delicious. Peppered mackerel being another favourite. Oh and herring done in oatmeal by mum all those years ago. Must admit apart from crab, I don't really like shellfish.
For being such a readily available and stupid fish, mackeral is ****ing lovely, peppered like you say. Salmon is overrated. Oh, smoked mussels are good too, only tried them for the first time a few weeks ago. ****ing banging.
Monkfish is a favourite of mine ... wrapped in parma ham! Like a good fish (seafood) curry - Salmon, Haddock, Prawns, Mussles etc A Cod Fish supper ... canny whack it!
Salmon IS over rated and over priced. Once on holiday I had swordfish and it was beautiful. That and monkfish, smashing. Grilled sardines as a starter - lovely. Local Italian restaurant does it. There are so many choices with fish. Sea Bream - hmmmmmm. Might have that tonight actually. We're quite lucky being on the coast and having fresh produce available all year round. Even if they are radioactive.
i wouldnt say i have a specific favorite, i love all fish. and cockles, muscles mmm. Only thing i dont like are crab sticks
