Just wondering what your favourite city chant is/was.

Think mine is Albert's song. "Runs down the wing for me"

but I did love Johnson says bounce around the ground. That was a great season and could still remember singing it at Wembley.

So over to you. Doesn't have to be recent once, Can be a song about Atyeo from back in the day.......

    Tom Thumb.

Quirky and a carry over from the days of terraces and dressing for the match. A scene now nearly lost amongst the saturation of the EPL/modern football/Sky/soccer am.

Too many City songs now are just re-hashes of the big teams e.g Albert runs ... Lame and small time aping.

Have to agree with Cliftonville Tom Thumb! they tried to resurrect it in the Atyeo a couple of seasons ago, but couldn't get the tune right! If I remember correctly it was more of an away song.

Tom Thumb. Although those of a more youthful age may not know it was associated with hooliganism.

Reminds me of being a kid with money for the first time and travelling away.

That was a strange one that I've never heard from any other club's fans.

What about the Gerry Gow song "He's here, he's there, he's every ****ingwhere etc etc"

Someone mentioned John Atyeo earlier in the thread. Well I don't remember any songs in that era about any player. I remember that we tried to fit some different words to "Big Bad John" by Jimmy Dean which was a hit record in the early sixties but it never happened.
And in those far off days, we used to sing "The Red Robin" on very rare occasions. Oh and 2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate, C I T Y, Citeee!
Pretty pathetic compared with the seventies and eighties songs.
