I'm looking forward to meeting his replacement in January. Surly that will be one of the first people we have to replace. He's simply awful

Because Teflon Boy is untouchable according to some. Can play great at times and pitiful at others. Should have been hooked today after 20 minutes.

Couldn't disagree more with this thread. Don't you remember the Wolves game? Not only scored a fantastic goal, but kept the team ticking over whilst displaying a brilliant range of passing. I thought he tried to keep the team going today, kept pushing on and looking for the openings. Always capable of switching the play; just needs the players round him to do their own jobs.

Am I really reading this. He's been one of our best players this season. Literally every match I've been to and report I've read this season by top newspapers pick him out over and over as our best midfielder. He keeps us ticking over.

To judge anyone on todays performance is simply wrong. No one gave a true account of themselves.

Fair post Hamish but no-one is immune to criticism after they've had a stinker.

Hard luck in the Rugger by the way. Up until the last few minutes it was like Brave Heart part two!!

I'll give you that one. <applause>

But I stand by what I said. If you're going to criticise then have a go at everyone. You cant single out individuals after a performance like that.

Absolutely correct. There's no doubting Hall is dire and Orr is out of his depth, but i thought Ferdinand was ****e today and where was Barton meant to be playing, also worried about his leadership qualities on the pitch. It's alright shouting at the other players, but he needs to back it up with a little bit more commitment of his own!!

I didn't think Bradley did that badly, probably because I thought he would be aweful or maybe the rest made he look better than he was

Im an admirer of Faurlin but to be fair to this thread, I think he's been poor for the past 2 games. I expect his level of performance to pick up mind you.

Okay, everyone was sh*t. Now, why is Ali Faurlin immune to criticism unlike some of the others who cop it fair game?

He has a great game when the team we are playing sit back and let us play in front of them, then hes under no pressure. But when they step up a gear and start running at us hes completely out of his depth.
I just dont understand why we should feel that he is beyond criticism.Hes at best an average midfielder and not good enough to keep us in this division. He is not alone ,Tarrabt and Barton have been non existent and both look so slow.

Of course no one is exempt from criticism, but in no way should he be singled out! Everyone had a stinker. I agree he looked toothless when defending today but believe he was our best passer of the ball (chipped through ball for Mackie for example). Barton and SWP were pretty dire on the ball today and Derry looked off the pace.

One poor performance does not make Faurlin a bad player and the same goes for the other guys (except Hall who has always been poor). Having stuck up for him though, I do think that he should be the one to make way should we play 4-4-2.

Yeh I thought nearly everyone played well under par today, but for me Orr was OK, made some good saving tackles and was our best man at the back. Thought Ali was OK too. Kenny made 2 bad mistakes for the first 2 goals, and defensively we were terrible. We had littlle cohesion going forward either, Betty never looked like scoring, but he had little suppport and noone else looked like scoring either. Why SWP doesn't play mainly wide on the right is very strange for me - he was terrible today, but seemed to be playing in the wrong position.
