He has been looking at a lot of videos showing "How to pass forward" and "How to shoot at goal" so that the club might benefit from him being on the pitch next season. Passing sideways and backwards, as we all know, he has mastered.
Expecting MH to spend a lot on midfielders this summer Ruislip? You clearly don't rate Ale, had Diakite on the bench on another thread, and we can hope that Barton will be gone. Who plays midfield in your team?
But we need cental defensive midfielders bad. If Barton goes we have Ale and Derry only, and Derry can't be expected to start and finish all that many games next season. So we need to secure Diakite's signature plus get in 1 or 2 more as back up.
isn't derry out of contract? he might well be released. and before anyone jumps down my throat my reason is that he's too old! still no official word on hill yet. that's the one I'd be worried about.
Exactly what I was going to post Bill, but does that show that his forward passes are rare as we both remember the same one?
Faurlins ball retention in my opinion is very good. The purpose of a defensive midfielder is to protect the defence, read the play, break up opposition attacks and give a simple pass preferably to someone who can do that little bit more with the ball like Taraabt for example. I think diatkite looks excellent at carrying the ball forward and playing faurlin with him looks a very exciting prospect.
Everything you say is true but for a player so highly rated on this site I find it incredible that when he does get an opportunity a to shoot, he couldnt hit a barn door. Also if he was as talented as everyone on here keeps telling me why hasnt he moved on to a bigger club.
I think if he hadn't done his ACL and continued playing as he did first half of the season, we would have a queue of top clubs after him now. We all see these things differently, no problem with your opinion, but still begs the question - who would you have in centre mid?
I tried to find a video of his assist for Helguson's goal vs Sunderland this year but couldn't find it.
