Faurlin says he has changed his style of play because of injuries
    By Jordan Foster 07/08/2015
QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has admitted to reluctantly making adjustments to his game in the hope of avoiding another serious injury.
Faurlin, 28, has suffered three cruciate knee ligament injuries in as many years but was given a new one-year deal with the club in June.
Many players have struggled to re-establish themselves after suffering similar injuries – former fans favourite Akos Buzsaky being an example – and the Argentine says he will have to adapt his game in order to prolong his career.
“The toughest part for me is being sensible now. I need to pick and choose when I go [forward],” he said.
“I want to always go and chase everything but now I have to be more sensible and think about it more.
“It comes with experience and as you get older, but it’s probably one of the things I need to work on most in order to keep playing for many more years.
“But I’m enjoying every minute of playing again. I feel good and when I’m on the pitch, I feel alright – I just want to put it all behind me and concentrate on playing now.”

What .............. he's got two guide dogs, cricket knee pads and a ground announcer to guide him around the pitch ........... yep, I'm ok with that.
Hoping you have a change of luck and a very successful year with us, Alejandro.

His injuries will play on his mind and understandably - will he pull out of necessary tackles? He's always been more antelope than warthog. We'll need someone competent playing behind him.

Never the quickest of players so it shouldn't effect him too much.
