The Argentine midfield ace has been out of action since injuring his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in January's third round FA Cup tie at MK Dons. He is, however, expected to start pre-season training with the rest of the First Team squad come July. And Faurlin - who travelled with the squad to Manchester at the weekend - told www.qpr.co.uk: "It was stressful (to watch)! But we are still here - we are Premier League. It was the happiest day of my life. "This has definitely given me extra motivation (to come back). "I'm just looking forward to the start of pre-season and being in the Premier League. "Hopefully we can keep QPR in the Premier League for many more years to come. "I said to Paddy (Kenny) after the game 'this is crazy.' Some of the saves he made were unbelievable." He added: "I have to say thank you to everyone at QPR. People came to me after the game and said 'this is for you for next season.' Everyone has been magnificent with me. "I will be here all summer doing my rehab. I don't want to go anywhere! "I can't wait to start pre-season." http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2773416,00.html?
He he he,can't wait to see Ali back in the middle of the park for us.I think he and Diakite will be an incredible pairing!
Faurlin and Diakite together, now that is something to really look forward to. Can't wait for next season.
Great vibrations coming from Ale! ""Hopefully we can keep QPR in the Premier League for many more years to come". Sounds like he wants to be around!
Great that he's probably going to be there for pre-season. That'll be perfect for getting him fit without missing him (as we definitely have) for league games. Expect a plethora of comments about how he should have actually been gutted that we didn't beat City though...
Once rather imfamously referred to Ali as a 'bit of a donkey' and was rebuked for it by Col (who else?!)... I was referring to his rather stubborn lack of forward movement - but Diakite undoubtedly covers for that. Ali's reading of the game, positioning, interceptions and well timed tackles are reminiscent of our Shaun. With a decent defence behind him next season, Ali's sideways passes can only release our more pacey wingers. So all good then? Certainly looking forward to Faulin's return as much as anyone. Yet another confirmed Ranger with loyalty and affection for the club: Ali, Clint, Shaun, Jamie (all superb FL converts) to go with newbies Ned, Anton, Taye and Djibril who have each voiced and demonstrated similar sentiments, promises a future core with the kind of ethos that only ever points in an upward direction. With owners, management and fans onside, a-mazing to be able to speak of the Rs in that way!
Any room for Adel in there Brix? I know you think he will leave but what if he ends up still with us? There's a problem that you want to deal with as a manager...
And if Taarabt does stay how about this for an attacking line up even assuming we buy no one else... GK ?? Mackie Onuaha Ferdinand Taiwo Faurlin Diakite Traore Taarabt Cisse Zamora
Would not mind seeing Ali made our new skipper next season , we need a replacement ! I hope he gets a full preseason in and is ready to go first game. Potential QPR Legend in my book.
Needs to score more goals but otherwise a fantastic talent I need to check whether he still tops the 'most tackles made' ranking despite being out half the season!
The names I listed are just those who so far seem to want to play for Rangers. I like Adel as a player AAAAAGH, but am yet to be convinced he really wants to play for us.
Brilliant news, and what a picture showing his reactions after the city game! Superb! Cant wait to see him back, and if we do get rid of Barton, Faurlin and Diakite will be a great midfield pairing. So much positive news coming from LR now, it is hard to get used to!
Yeah, so close to being an absolute disaster, but we survived and things are now looking a whole lot better.
