Following the death of Karl Lagerfeld, his beloved cat Choupette may be the cat that got the cream (and then some) amid reports she’ll ‘inherit’ the Chanel designer’s fortune. The late German designer is said to be worth $200million (£153million), and the Birman, who was arguably 85-year-old Karl’s biggest love, may have a large chunk of her human’s bank balance handed over after Karl admitted he was leaving her an inheritance. If cats can get an inheritance, that is. But if they can have a ‘bodyguard, personal chef and two maids’, as was claimed of Choupette, we guess anything can happen.
