Are only season pass holders allowed an opinion? If so, can we ban Patty now, he can't make it to a game from East Hull, never mind France.
I've said before, and I'll say it again, the name change isn't a big deal to me. I have many reasons for supporting my local team. Position on the football league pyramid and name are NOT important to me. However, I do think this name change has been handled very badly by the owner, but I also think lots of fans have allowed themselves to be whipped into a frenzy over it.
. I do forget its the internet sometimes and we all argue and spout bollocks. Its all disgusted from Purley who arent affected at all. Saxton, who i like as a great eccentric poster, posted tons and he's not a season pass holder. Theres many more like that.
Season pass holder E6 and glory seeker since 1965 - was involved in the Blackpool bus trip many years ago. With reference to the proposed name change, sometimes you have to move with times. When clubs were formed they all followed the same name template, if they were being formed today a much wider range of names would be used. I will be voting to move with the times.
Who are the silent majority? I get confused. It seems to change depending on who I listen to and what week it is. Is it the not bothered's?
In response, no I'm not a season pass holder. I try and attend games when I'm over but that's usually once a season.
Have a look at the facts and then ask yourself to what end? What would be gained by 'moving with the times'? There needs to be a reason to change. Justifying something purely by saying it's modern isn't a reason to do something if there's no benefit.
I prefer 'moo point', it's like a cows opinion, it doesn't matter. You didn't answer my question Shrl. But as you're on the change I will let you off. Us gals are easily distracted. Only takes a nice pair of shoes or a new shiny bag and we forget our own names.
I dunno where you're getting moving with the times from. Nobody else is changing their names. It's not going to herald a revolution of tacky names & franchises. More like the traditional clubs will belittle City even more than they do now. If you were sick of being talked down and our club not being taken seriously, what for what's in store if we changed our name. See MK Dons for instance.
Silent or not, you've got the opportunity to be heard. Whether you're YES / NO or Not Bothered, please exercise you're right to vote. Even then if the vote goes against your personal beliefs, you cannot complain that you didn't have your say. Apathy alone could see Option #3 win the ballot. By this, i'm not telling you to vote YES or NO, but merely asking that you do what you think is right for YOU.
I think even more embarrassing than the name change is Allam calling the FA corrupt on behalf of all of us.
Lost for words when I hear people express the opinion that someone shouldn't be bothered, or get too upset about the changing of a club's name. Like it's a minor detail. There can be few things MORE fundamental to a club.
