Responsible for • Identifying local players within designated age groups that fit into our player DNA. • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts that enhance the Recruitment of Academy players. • Act on any information given by The Head of Academy Recruitment. • Ensuring that all rules regarding Youth Development are followed as set out each season.• Completion of all documentation as required.• Assist in the development of new documents as and when requested, so that the processes reviewed and updated regularly. • Attend ALL Academy Recruitment Meetings• Develop relationships with grassroots clubs, specific to your designated age group• Attend all development centres to view players so that standard is improved via efficient and professional recruitment strategies.• Attend CPD as and when required.• Attend Academy games to ensure that you are aware of the standard of player that is required.• Forward the Head of Academy Recruitment a record of games attended within 48 hours.• Complete all documentation in detail and forward any player assessments to the Head of Academy Recruitment within 48 hours of viewing.• Ensure that as a Casual Academy Scout that you adhere to the “Scout Protocol” set down by club at all times. Having been at the academy last year with my team playing the Hull City academy side - I'd say you're over qualified.
it does at least show that they want people to identify local youngsters to bring in. For ages that was a sticking point with our academy and local kids would bugger off to Leeds or Grimsby.
We've been invited to loads of Academy side days at Leeds, City, Scunthorpe and Grimsby. After the City 'day' I've turned them all down. The 'scouting' and Academy set up is poor, and I don't think it benefits player development.
That film is great. I would literally emulate Will Ferrell. Especially when they walk out the back of the meat truck covered in blood and the other team **** themselves and forfeit.
