As I'm sure your both aware, Northampton Town have made it to the League 2 play-off final...

I was born and bred in Ipswich, grew up on the Chantry estate and the North Stand, but due to the twists and turns of life now find myself living in Northampton, but got a lot of good mates here who are Cobblers fans, and occasionally go to Sixfields with them, possibly two or three times a season, more for the pre-match piss up than anything else, but it's always a good day out.

I'm sure that you, having lived here as long as you have, must have mates who are Cobblers fans and are celebrating today, so, do you ever go to Sixfields? Does Northampton Town's success mean anything to you? (I'd say that it does to me, if only because a lot of my mates who were born here, proper football fans, are happy today, and I can relate to that).

What do you think? If nothing else, it must be good for the community in which we all live?

Northampton are my second team, very happy they've got in the play off final. I know Northants was at the home leg and we discussed cobblers a bit.

I can tell you that i think Clarke Carlisle has made a difference. Proper leader which i think they were crying out for first half of the season.

I wish i went to more goes at working part time at weekends mean i don't get too.

Will you be going to Wembley? Tickets go on general sale on Thursday, Northampton will have 40,000, should be a good day out! <ok>

Also worth pointing out Lowestoft are currently playing the play-off final for promotion to Conference North/South. Currently drawing 1-1 with Concord Rangers, although absolutely all over them.

Nice to see the football getting a bit of coverage rather than the bloody rugby haha

2-1 Concord in the 85th minute. Harsh on Lowestoft as it sounds like they've dominated all game.

Could definitely be on the cards. Hope they go up either way. Not a massive fan of Boothroyd but after Gary Johnson failed he was probably a decent choice.

Yes, I try to catch a couple of home games every season. The success of the club and this town means a lot to me, I'm a Norwich fan but I'm a Northamptonian I'm born here and I grew up here. I was at the Cheltenham game on hospitality as my friends have contacts at the club great night out, quite a lot of my mates and work colleagues go to games and my Mum's brother is a massive Cobblers fan his barely missed a game in decades.

As an area Sixfields is my idea of hell it's like St James Retail Park but will grass, but it's a good day out and the fans are great, I usually go to the Tavern early for a few jars then head towards the centre after the game. I can't warrant a season ticket but I'll definitely be getting a membership and I plan on attending a lot more games.

Would love to go to Wembley but a couple of months ago one of my mates died and we're having a memorial party for him that day. Will certainly be cheering them on from elsewhere. I think we'll fill out our allocation hopefully people will start turning up to more games.

Yeah, agree with everything you say, We'll have to have a meet in the Sixfields Tavern next season at some point, Peterborough at home would be awesome!

Ah I forgot about that hopefully Adrain Durham will be about too <laugh>. Also MK Dons! Who I reckon in a decade or so will take over Peterborough as the traditional enemy, there is something which makes me feel sick about that place, it's not just about Wimbledon, it's because a lot of people from Northampton move there or shop there they'll harp on about how great it is, the shopping isn't bad but the place has no soul! Sounds like a plan, I'm sure we'll cross paths at some point in Tavern Welly.
