    My son was watching the Disney version of Tarzan this morning, which features a fight between a silverback gorilla and a leopard. The big cat just about shades the encounter, leaving the primate exhausted and requiring the help of Tarzan to win.

    Anyway, would this really be case? Taking the eponymous hero out of the equation, would a 200lb leopard really best a 350lb silverback? I reckon the ape would win.

    Moneys on the silverback especially if it was a male.

    A male silverback would destroy a Leopard one on one, even a female would probably give it a pasting. Unless your talking about some kind of ambush situation then the Leopard stands a chance.
