Re the Arriverderci Miliband thread, I fail to see how that is off topic. We are not discussing politics, we are discussing politics IN football. The hiring of a man who ran with the Irreducibli and has a Mussolini tattoo and the subsequent resignation of a vice president of an English Premier League football club is a completely worthy discussion in my eyes.

If it was pure politics then yes, I agree, but this is a clearly football orientated discussion. Anyone else have thoughts?

Only that it was an attempt by ****ty Asbo to get on his politics soapbox....for him, I don't believe - for one moment - that it was actually about football.

Not this again ? ffs. But.......

Its going to be a fun watch from the outside without a doubt and IF the mackems do go down then i can see Di Canio being sacked in the summer.

But the 7 remaining games will be most entertaining i am sure - well at least off the pitch.

Well if anyone does that can their individual comments be removed. I appreciate that's a lot of modding so perhaps not....

    Oops, my bad.

It was on the news last night in the sports/football part about PdC being appointed and DM taking his ball home.

So for me that was On Topic.

If others view it as OT that is their perogative.

(PS Lincoln Tiger, yes I am aware of the Miliband family history. His old man is a Marxist, isn't he?)

Simplifies it in a way that people do about DiCanio.

I would say that Miliband senior is much more of a political animal than Di Canio who is a pretend one.

Di Canio is an ex footballer turned manager. As far as I know he does not bring his political beliefs into the way he manages his players, the players he selects etc.

It seems to me that folk are getting excited because they believe he does.

Unless of course, there is some approved list of beliefs, hobbies, ideas, backgrounds, ideologies, lifestyles etc that has been drawn up and circulated.

If anyone has this list, could they be good enough to post it on here?

I do feel sorry for him Stan, he's obviously lonely but doesn't know how to make friends so he goes for arguments to get a reaction. Sad really

    Yes you did.

On the original closed thread, Lincoln Tiger brought Miliband senior into it- hence my PS.

Then you posted a potted history of him on this thread, getting even further away from the original point being made.

On page 1 alone of this messageboard as I type I see subjects covering Aldi, Brighton fans, change the word, how old are you and associate the word. I await you telling each of these OPs to '**** off to General with it'.

Some proper screechers have ruined what might have been a good thread.

    Shame.
