........I said Maestro you nosey buggers Maestro, I shall be missing for much of the daytime tomorrow, I only have a pc, no smart phone, so I shall leave things in your capable hands! I found a five pound note so I'm off to Clarke's Village retail outlet in Street, to stock up on my Winter woollies, there should be enough left over for a slap up banquet, so I'll see you around tea-time for coffee and biscuits!
Bloody part timers Will try and keep it tidy for you skipper when I am here, but I'm also off tomorrow, for an eye apoitment at the clinic to see if I'm suitable for eye surgery
I have been to the Clarks shop in Streete a few times and I highly recommend it! You just can't beat the feel of leather!
It's called Clarke's Village because it's on the site of their original factory, but Clarke's shoes is only a very small part of the retail outlet, probably my favourite shop is Cadburys, I could stay in there all day and not get bored! Most of the retailers are very reasonably priced, because their goods are out of season, for instance, the Marks and Sparks store will be full of Summer gear now that Summer has officially ended today!
Been there a few times Skip but not recently. Is it still as cheap? Stayed at a fabulous guest house in West Wick. Had he biggest en suite Jacuzzi this side of the Rio Grande.
It's much cheaper than full retail price but seasonal goods are half a year out, ie Summer clothes in Winter time! I'm going mainly because I need sandals due to this on-going leg infection, I can't get a shoe on my right foot due to swelling and dressing(medical)
Well skipper I'm back. got all the way to the bus stop. Had a few moments before the next bus, so re - checked all my paperwork. My daughter then pointed out that the date was for the 29th Guess my eyes are worse than I thought.
I don't know what surgery you are intending to have mate, but if it's laser you may want to consider this. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with agressive bi-lateral cataracts at the age of 49 ! In a matter of months my eyesight deteriated so much that it was like looking through a filthy bathroom window, scarey to say the least. I've since had two ops and my eyesight is better than ever, I now only need reading glasses having worn specs all my life. Now the reason I'm telling you this, is that I said to a nurse at the N&NUH that I felt rather unlucky to have cataracts at my age. She said it was unusual but not unknown but with the advent of laser eye treatment they were expecting many more younger people requiring cataract surgery in the next few years. This treatment can bring cataracts on much earlier evidently she said. Now whether this is true or not I don't know as I haven't bothered to find out so it might be worth asking the question if it is indeed laser surgery you're considering, that's all
KIO. My eyes are gradually getting worse. -10 one eye and -9 the other. It is just to see if i am suitable for laser surgery or not. I have to keep going to the opticians weekly to get my glasses reshaped, so as not to strain my eyes too much, and the fact that I seem to struggle with contacts having worn thm for the last 25 years. If, after the consultation, they say that they can't give me close to 20 - 20, then I won't bother. Cheers for the info though. I will ask about this next week.
