In an earlier post you said that Ashbee is going to spill his side of the beans. Is this personal to the Club, Personalities at the club, fans or all 3.

Also re your name and the fact that Ashbee had scooters do you know him personally through this link.

I do know Ash socially, nothing to do with scooters, I've just ended up bumping into him at many different events and a couple of my mates are very close friends with him.

He's avoiding talking to people at the moment, but he's text a couple of the lads to tell them he's about to spill the beans on why he's gone, but I've no detailed info on what he's pissed off about.

I would guess that it will be something to do with Pearson. Probably along the lines of Destroying a team that got us to the Premier League and Showing him no respect.

It will be a load of garbage and I will lose some respect for him.

Thanks for coming back to me. It looks like he is going to end it all unceremoniously. I hope he still has time left to evaluate his time here and look at the bigger picture. seems to me and I hope I am wrong that he is about to join the cant do know wrong club of Duffen and Brown. Really hope this does not happen as I highly regard this man.

Ash's timing was wrong when handing in his transfer request and did he really expect Pearson to give him preferential treatment which in turn back fired on him? Could this be credible?

Ashbee thought he was everything Hull City and to be fair for a long time he was..trouble is, he is not the player he was and never will be.

He was always over weight for a professional footballer in the last 2 years and struggled to keep the weight off, he made a huge mistake in his association with bollard and we all know neither pearsons liked Bollard or his lack of professionalism. It seems to me that Ashbee spat out his dummy with both the Pearsons and we all know Adam is certainly stronger than any player at the club and will never be bullied.

I have an idea that Ashbee thought he deserved a contract extension and Pearson (nigel) thought otherwise. Lets be honest about things, Ash was a great servant to our club but his last 1 year extension while injured was always going to be his last at our club.

Nigel is developing his own 'young' squad, be it loans or assets and is doing a good job so far..hungry, young and 'cheap' players with potential resale value is what is required for a club of our size...especially at this level and more so in the prem if ever we return.

I can see what the club are trying to do, Ashbee was clearly not part of it...expect the rest of the old guard like McShane, Folan (we know already), Garcia, ***an and others already out on loan will be gone come the summer and 5 or 6 new faces all under 25 will be drafted in as I think the owners will try for a top 6 finish with a view to a top 2 in 2 years time...slow development in this league is the key, we all know we were not ready for the prem the last time...it was 2 years too early.

Didn't AP say to him they'd look at his contract at the end of the season and maybe give him another year if they still wanted him? I don't think Ash was very happy with it and threw a bit of a strop to be honest. As soon as his old pal Brownie came knocking, he was always going to leave in my opinion.

Me either. I understand his bitterness but I really hope he doesn't royally **** things up for himself. If he does, then all we can do is remember the good times I suppose.
