Certain I can speak for John Firth and welcome you to this ex-pats gathering. He is organising this on the HullcityMad board and we are hoping to be there too as we are in Canada in early August on holiday.I seem to remember you being on Hullcitymad or am I mistaken here?

The relevant topic to follow on HCMad is the "50,000 mile Club" started by John.

Gotcha Melbourne yes of course you are welcome to our little party next august, the more the merrier.
I have already been in touch with the club and they said they want to recognise us for our dedication to city. Maybe the royal box and a back scene tour before the season opener next year :)
Might have to change the name of the club to the 100,000 mile club the way we are going right now, so far I think we have three from Oz 4 from the USA and at least 3 from Canada, if Botswana Tiger comes and my mate in Singapore hell we might reach a quarter million miles round trip to see a city game now that would be pretty awesome!

I'll make sure you get all the details of the dates and stuff in plenty of time to book flights etc. My email is johnfirth957 at msn.com drop me a line and we can keep in touch.
I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn next to St Stephens while I'm there as alawys, they actually give me a great rate like 39 quid a night for me and my son in a double room and that includes a full breakfast which is'nt bad. Also it's a short walk to the KC, right in the middle of town near the train station, ideal for Tesco's for that early morning McVities digestive snack and a short walk from The Admiral Of The Humber that opens at 7:00 am for those that like a liquid breakfast.

totally O/T but has anyone ever noticed that you can be reading something and a stand out word is spoken on the TV the same time as you read it ?

It just happened to me when reading the above message - As soon as i read the words Admiral(of the Humber) , Richard Gere spoke the words "rear Admiral on the film Officer n a gentleman on 4+1

Happens all the time with me I'm very psychic, I seem to know what people are thinking and doing and feeling thousands of miles away a lot, very wierd indeed.
Last week I decided to call my friend in Hull to say hello and I had'nt spoke to her since august and before I could dial the number the bloody phone rang and it was her! How strange is that?
I'm not a kook on these things trust me but after a lot of times when very obscure things happen for no reason you gotta start wondering if there is another sense that we comunicate with that we do'nt understand.

Oh and Melbourne I think Pommy is coming from Melbourne too for the get together I'll get you in touch with him as well.
