Did anyone manage to get audio commentary during the match today ? (The Viking one). Nowt here - yet again. I wish to register a complaint...
Can Viking do the commentary when the game is covered by Talksport? Perhaps a contractual oversight by our fan friendly administrators.
Twas supposed to be available on ESPN3, but all I got was a cryptic error message. Someone from Microsoft must have quit and gone to work for ESPN.
Viking commentary came through loud and clear from well before KO here in Western Canada. Although it was depressing to listen to....apart from the first ten minutes. Even the normally fairly positive Brian Hughes had nothing good to say...other than for Jarrod Bowen's performance. I'm beginning to lose faith in Slutsky's ability to motivate this team.
Thanks CT. Must be a problem at my end then. I did manage to hook into the Sky stream supplied by our Russian friend posted on the match-day thread. As you say, it was a depressing match, with the commentators (including Stuart Pierce) constantly taking the micky out of City.Bowen's goal was nicely taken- the only bright moment other than the tennis ball shower.
CT and TC, Stuart Pierce taking the piss? A bit comical coming from that twat. That said, after almost sixty years, I don't much care any more. Sad really but instead of being an established lower to mid table Premiership side we're flirting with another relegation. Perhaps if the Allams **** off, my enthusiasm might be rekindled. Incidentally, my daughter is spending this weekend on Saltspring ... lucky lass.
I used to like "Psycho" Pierce as a player - one of the the last "take no prisoners" types, like "Duncan Disorderly" Ferguson. Apparently, when Ken Houghton was managing City he tried to sign Pierce, but he chose to stay in non-league football for a couple of years before he made his name with Forest & England. Never saw him play live(other than on telly), just like I never saw John Parkin play for City - a player of similar attitude I hear. Now Jock Davidson was another matter. The game has certainly changed.
I'm sure your daughter has enjoyed Salt Spring this weekend TC. The weather has been beautiful...sunny and blue skies. Are you still interested in moving out here?. Property values are very reasonable compared to Vancouver and Victoria, and of course Toronto. And its a great place to live. I agree with you. With different owners, and a competent manager in the first half of last season, we could definitely have established ourselves as a mid-table Premiership side. But that possibility has probably gone. I will be very surprised if we finish much higher than mid-table this year and Slutsky stays. Next years prospects are even worse given our best players are likely to leave. Hard to get excited about the future...but we live in hope.
Any expat out there having problems getting broadcast today (30 mins befor ko - it's usually up by now !) ?
