Please don't try to claim inner knowledge of this situation, instead have the sense and humility to apologise to City fans and accept that having a lack of football input to the sports show and gloating any negatives and playing down any positive news about the football club has played a part in us losing the manager. Yes, ultimately money talks, but had the media represented local opinion rather than the lazy, unprofessional sensationalist line, just maybe he wouldn't have wanted to even hear the figures. I'd wager you'll now sound incredulous that views like his are even muted and try to spin it in the way you tried when you got caught out previously over Mr Alam joining us. You're supposed to make an effort to get a feel for local opinion, not sit spouting **** in the hope it becomes controversial.

how much longer will david burns BA (hons) be at the BBC Hull? he has already been moved to a different job chatting up old ladies to fill mid-morning air-time (on protected salary presumably) with an olive branch of free travel and tickets for the matches at weekends. when the olive branch falls off, I suspect he will then be sciving a living at a local floor cleaning franchise, plying his trade on community radio or perhaps selling local papers in the circulations dept of a failed rag? maybe he will just become a 'normal' journo again?
correct. but if he does, which is what we are all posting on. its all speculation at the moment which is being driven by the media. only the allams and both pearsons know whats going on at the moment.

Local sports media should support fully the hopes and desires of local sporting fans. Negative views which a small % of readers and callers spout always seem to be tipped in wholesale without a thought. A balanced approach is to sample the numbers and air them in proportion. Too much to hope for maybe from the lazy in-bred jounalism we have to suffer in the area.
