Bassong was nearly a done deal last window so i'd imagine he is still on neils list..im hoping for Samba,Zamora and Defoe and hoping that were not after Johnson .
I'd love to see Defoe wearing the hoops but I fear that, if he is in the shop window, he might get a more attractive offer elsewhere. As with Parker, as soon as a bigger club comes in our chances of signing top players diminish. Likely the same with Samba. What may work in our favour with Defoe, however, is being a London club. He may be reluctant to head to the North-East, but I could see somewhere like Villa being attractive (if indeed they're interested).
