OK, this is how it goes

We are going to compile a team of 606 posters.
Where would people play and why? Feel free to compile a whole team if you fancy.

I'll kick us off then ("...and I'm Bobby Charlton!")

    1) Goalkeeper - Ivor
You always build a good team from the back and the most important position is goalkeeper.
A good goalkeeper needs to be experienced, towering, reliable. A safe pair of hands, not prone to erratic changes of mood or mad rushes of blood to the head, resulting in wild charges fuelled by emotion.

Note - No nominating yourself up front "cos I use to play there for the school" etc.
In fact, no nominating yourself. - The Dictator

2 x CB = DPJ and KJ - command the area and piss opposition off no end
CM - Dai - wee niggler, always at oppositions feet

I'll put myself left wing, you need a youngster to do all the running!

Musty, we'd be too busy arguing! End up doing a Kieron Dyer & Lee Bowyer. fighting0063.gif

You always need a terrier in the midfield! Doesn't need to be the best footballer technically but breaking up play is just as important.

I'll put myself down for the coaching department as i've spent the last 15 years shouting out loud from the sidelines <laugh>

Tycoch, I like your age! Being 22 myself I think ill stick myself on the subs bench for the right wing! Occasionally pops up with moments of magic, but not quite consistent enough for a starting place. Plus i always fancied myself to cut inside and strike it on my left foot wand!.... Oh and by wand I mean absolute shovel of **** that will either break the net or destroy some nice ladies windows. This lack of talent shows no boundires!

Well. I think i'm quite good at finishing conversations...Because I will often add "yea I agree with that"....
I guess i'm a spectator for most of the banter that goes on on 606.
And add that to the fact that i've been around 606/not for about 7 years
I'm gonna nominate my self for Tates role - He used to be good for a goal a season.

Can I put my self forward as the sitting midfielder, help out then back four and then let all the whipper snappers do all the running. I will chip in with a couple of goals when needed.

My middle name is attack , so up front for me !...when it comes to me & any ball within a sport , I'm like a dog !! .. Diving headers off the bounce just inside the sneaker ( goalpost ) , the works !! . "The man with no fear " logo has followed me in sports the better part of my career so I'd like a try out !.

Interesting that only Musty seems to have read and understood the question
Don't know what that says about us.

It seems like we could have a good little Sunday League team going though, Tycoch doing the running.
