At the last two games (West Brom and Chelsea) the most common comment Iâve heard from fellow fans is, âJol just picks eleven names, he doesnât know his best team!â Now that is obviously from a very small cross-section of people and arguably I only heard what I wanted to. However putting all of that aside, if YOU were Fulhamâs Manager and you were able to select a side from all possible players [remember this is a wee bit of âfantasyâ so you can assume all are in form, fit and therefore available]: What would your starting line-up be and in what formation? This is mine: â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦.Stekelenburgâ¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦ ..Rietherâ¦.Hangelandâ¦Amorebietaâ¦Richardson.. â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦..Diarraâ¦â¦.. â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦Kasamiâ¦â¦.Parker.. â¦Dejagahâ¦â¦â¦â¦.â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦Kacaniklic.. â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦Berbatovâ¦â¦..
Okay. Not too dissimilar but a different formation. Berba would be slightly in advance of the two wingers and Parker would push forward when we we had the ball, dropping back when we didn't. Not a big fan of four across the back, always prefer an attack minded formation. Stecklenberg Reither, Hangeland, Amorebietta Parker Karagounis,Taarabt Dejagah, Berbatov Kacaniklic Bent
Assuming they're in form, eh. Stecky Reither, Hangeland, Amore, Richardson Kasami, Diarra Dejagah, Ruiz, Kaca Berbatov
This is tough, and any ideal line up means at least one controversial omission. Stek Reither, Hangeland, Amorbieta, Richardson Parker, Kasami* Ruiz*, Berbatov, Kacaniklic Bent I know that Ruiz is better in the centre, and right wing is the position with the most competition - you can equally make a case for an in form Duff, and in form Dejagah or the potential of Mesca. Kasami is a gamble in a deep role - as far as I know, he's not been tried there for any length of time - and if that gamble doesn't come off we'll need Bryan's passing ability somewhere. For me we either find room for Ruiz on the right or we drop Berbatov. I prefer Bent to Berbatov for the main striker's role because I think the shape of the team is better with Bent stretching defences than with Berba dropping back as our main striker. If we're not assuming that everyone is on top form, then Kacaniklic vs Taarabt is another position that could go either way. Once fit, Diarra would challenge Kasami to play alongside Parker.
