Hi guys, I have wondered over here from the Leicester board, as I am attempting to do my fantasy premier league team for the season and I need some help! Who is likely to start for you against Sunderland at the weekend? I did have Koscielny, however he is now apparently a doubt. I was thinking Gibbs, will he play over Santos? Also... Walcott or Cazorla!?
Gibbs will play over Santos. Also, both Cazorla and Walcott could start in the same team, Walcott on the right and Cazorla through the middle.
Put Cazorla in, before everyone else does. He is bound to be vastly underpriced. If you are looking for a defender Vermaelen is a good pick. Likely to play and can score a goal or two. I would stay away from the full backs. I'm not certain how much they will get forward this year, with Walcott, Podolski and Cazorla playing behind a striker, I sense that we may not take as many risks with them this year.
I was thinking of being bold and going for Cazorla from the off, so might just do that. Who takes your free kicks and corners these days? Arteta? Unfortunately I can't afford Vermaelen or he would be in there. So I am looking for cheaper options, and have gone with Gibbs for now. Thanks for your help So you confident of the new season? Impressed with new signings?
I'm more confident that most of the miserable old buggers on here. I think we can get past everyone else, but I am worried about Manchester City. I'm just hoping that Yaya Toure and Kompany have lost their edge after winning. If there is any drop off from those two, City will falter. Cazorla was taking them in the warm up against Koln.
Yeah, I actually think you'll do well this season, Podolski especially is a very good signing. Cazorla is already the same value as Walcott. But Walcott is now apparently a doubt, so my decision has been made for me For the record, fantasy.premierleague.com is the one I am doing, do it every year, best one out there by miles!

Zlatan, my goodness, I'd stay away from Spurs defenders this year if I were you. If Vertonghen doesn't work out, they could be in Dire Straights, having paid good money for nothing. I think they are so far away from an ideal back 4, that clean sheets could be few and far between this year. Vertonghen might be a local hero in Holland, but I doubt he will become a solid rock for their defence. You may say, "why worry?" because they have Parker playing in front of the back 4, but how long can he go on? You know what a footballer's career is like, one day, its just boom, like that, it's gone. I could be setting me up for abuse, and it never rains but it pours, but I'm just trying to be your angel of mercy, before your team goes down to the waterline.
I have nothing against people giving me advice, so I won't abuse you. The reason I picked him is because he is Vermaelen v2. He will get some goals this season most likely, and he is playing in a defence that isn't too bad. Besides, I think I'll probably be more inclined to stick with the current 3 defenders I have for most of the season.
He is only second sub to be fair, as long as you have someone on your bench who plays, it doesn't really matter. Quite a good team though The Zlatan, I can't get on fantasy at work but here is my team... De Gea Gunter Ivanovic Gibbs Kompany Ramires Yaya Toure Cazorla Tevez Torres (Captain) Pogrebnyak You know Tevez is £2.5m cheaper than Aguero, which I think is a bit of a bargain, and looked the better player on Sunday. Gone for three Chelsea players and two Reading as they play twice in the first gameweek. Ooh I do love the start of a new season!

I was going to start a thread like this, thanks Jack for doing it for me! I have a couple of questions that I'd be thankful if someone could answer. 1. Based on pre season line ups and match fitness, if van Persie is still an Arsenal player on Saturday, will he play? 2. What does the future look like for Ramsey, Rosicky, Gervinho and Diaby? 3. Finally, I know Podolski scored a penalty for you v Köln, but is he expected him to be the first choice penalty taker?
1. Even if he is still with us, I doubt he will start against Sunderland. Against Koln, he looked really short of fitness. 2. Ramsey, has a tough season ahead of him, because the competition for places has just got harder. But, I can see him being Cazorla's understudy in that AM role. Rosicky is injured and not sure what will happen with him once he is back, but I think he can be a great squad player like Ramsey. Gervinho, for me he will be another squad player, but he has impressed in pre-season. Diaby, will do well to just stay fit and go from there. 3. If Van Persie leaves, then yes.
I had Hazard in my team, but after watching him against Man City on Sunday, I promptly took him out! Same point about Aguero, Tevez is £2.5m cheaper, surely a bargain? My team is pretty similar to yours, Zingy.
