    Sorry I ****ed up the title to this thread!

    Great News guys! Apparantly we have offered Leadboots and Delaney to Portsmouth as part of the overall bid. You would think they would snap our arms off at the prospect of these going there. If its true then the purchase of Stevenson makes a bit more sense. God if Leadboots goes I would drive him to Portsmouth myself!

    I can't understand it, surely Leadtwat and Delaney are on higher wages than these 3 players put together, so how is it going to help pompey reduce their wage bill?

    But ****ing fantastic if it did happen!

    What did you want the title to say warky, and if i can change it i will.

    If we pull off Ward, Henderson and Pearce for £2million along with offloading Delaney and Leadbitter to them, that would be absolutely fantastic, unbelievable infact, which is why I think that it will never happen!!

    Would be great if it happened, but Portsmouth's financial position might just put the mockers on the deal. Also we might have a big bill to pay if they did go, surely we would get sued under the trade description act.

    While Jewell ideally wants permanent signings, he says players could come in on loan if longer term deals can’t be done before the window slams shut: “In the Football League, at least the loan market is open to us, so even when the window closes tomorrow at 11pm, it opens next week for loans. So, it’s not as final as it is in the Premier League.


    “We do have alternatives in the loan market but I want to start bringing in players here that we can have permanently.


    “Whether we can do that with the players that we’ve mentioned [I'm not sure], there’s a lot of hard work. It’s been going on for weeks now, weeks and weeks, and it’s getting critical now because the window closes.”


    Jewell says Town are not one of the clubs to have made an offer for Crawley striker Tyrone Barnett and is not targeting Liverpool youngster Jon Flanagan

    For goodness sake YOU'RE NOT HAVING THEM !!

    .. did you get the point that time ?? We are in no pressure to sell at the moment- we have funds which last until the summer. £1.7 million is not enough for 1, let alone 3.

    And as for Leadbitter and the other guy- never heard of them. <ok>
