They allowed cormeen band to have a parade through the ecclesiastical capital on St Patricks day. This has to be the way forward for Ireland. Perhaps a St Patrick's day parade on the shankill is only a matter of time
It wouldn't solve a thing. 'My cock's bigger than yours' 'No it's not - mine is longer.' 'But mine is thicker. Burds prefer girth.' 'No way they prefer length. Girth is ****e. '****e? Length is ****e ya dirty long cocked bastard' '**** you ya thick cocked ****.'
No bricks, bottles or petrol bombs thrown at the loyalist parade. Well done. A few Celtic fans shouting abuse but relatively peaceful. Do you not think that because nationalists showed respect to these loyalists that is now more likely that they will be respectful when it comes to them matching up certain contentious areas.
My personal opinion is that we just let them march where ever they want to march. I think marching up roads would be a lot less popular as a past time if there wasn't people trying to stop you doing it.
Mick, Why do they not march where they are wanted, not just where they want to. Surely its better for them to see people who appreciate them. In some places it is not 5/10 mins, some towns are blocked off all day during marches.
I would agree with this. If they don't get the reaction they always get no triumphant sense of satisfaction out of it.
