So Russell Slade remarked at his post match Presser that our fans were like a Twelth man yesterday. Not sure what Mr Slade is taking but I want some . The atmosphere was dead. Couldn't of been more than 3 /4 chants the whole game . Slade says things he thinks we want to hear mostly it's cobblers. As for his constantly referring to his job as a project ...drives me bloody nuts. Anyone who was at the game would of seen a poor game between two bang average sides played infront of a sparse mostly silent crowd.
Have you noticed that the fans are flavour of the month now? THere's a piece on the OS where we are the heartbeat of the club, another piece about 3 new fans initiatives, how keen the senior management team is to engage with the fans. I assume it's the work of this new PR company they use. When Slade and the new chief scout joined, and when we got a new sponsor they all blather on about the fans, and also the clubs history. It's such a blatant attempt to undo the damage done by CEO,(whose vow of silence continues) who graced us with her presence yesterday by turning up at 1:45 on matchday. We all know the only way to get the fans back, and the passion in the ground, and that involves Roland selling up. In the latest VOTV, Rick is of the opoinion that Roland may be open to offers, but it's CEO who is blocking attempts to communicate with him. Understandable, since she will be first out the door.
Charlton will remain on a constant downward spiral, on and off the pitch, until the Belgian Virus has been expelled. Anything else is bollox.
