Swansea City Fans Want Ki Recalled

After a recent Vital Swansea poll, it seems that a vast majority of Swansea City fans want to see midfielder Ki Sung Yueng recalled from his Sunderland loan.

As well as in a poll, we also asked for your opinions via our article here and the majority of our readers said in the Message Forum here that they wanted to see the South Korean return to the Liberty Stadium in the New Year.

A huge 89% voted that they wanted Ki recalled from Sunderland, with only 11% saying the opposite.

Some fans have wondered what Ki would offer to the team after struggling to impress that often last season. Always good in possession, but he struggled anything more than an accurate pass, but at Sunderland he seems to be improving in a more advanced role. So much so that manager Poyet has shown an interest in making the loan move permanent in the Summer.

Some rumours suggest that Ki has had a fallen out with the manager and it looks highly unlikely that he will return before the end of the season.

I wish we could have him back, but I do not see it happening, for me he's a better player than Laudrup's favourite little De Guzman, who fails to do the dirty work most games, I think your safe with him until the summer, when Laudrup moves on!.................<ok>

What about when he got elbowed in the face? Thought he was gonna lose it.

If someone elbowed me in the face and the useless **** in the black booked me for it then I would have lost it.

Ki is a quality footballer and sadly won't be staying after May. His coolness under pressure and his simple but effective passing game are a treat. We need him and another 6 or 7 of similar ability and quality to stop looking a shower of **** at times.

I just can't understand why Laudrup let him leave.

    Absolutely Cest.

It shows how far we are behind, when a mid table side loan a player who can't get a chance with them and he turns out to be our best player. So you are correct, we need about another 7 or 8 players with Ki's ability to make us a solid mid table team. Staying up is paramount, if we do, I trust in Gus to have us nowhere near a relegation scrap next season.

We need to break the bank to keep him.
It's been a very long time since I have seen someone in our midfield so comfortable on the ball.

Why are so many fans saying we should recall Gyan? He was sold outright in the summer. I wouldn't want him back anyway as he is the last thing you want is a lazy fat unambitious footballer in a relegation scrap.
