Reading through the Oatcake tonight it seems like the fans are now turning on Coates for not acting sooner on getting shut of Pulis. I remember Coates's first spell and how we could not wait to get shut of him back then. Are Coates's days up too?
As for my opinion mate, see my last 150,000 posts! It is ALL about the footballing philosophy of the Chairman/Owner and permeates downwards throughout the club, That's the Swansea factor for ye!
Then as I said on another post he has got to do something dynamic before this thing gathers any more momentum.
Like SACK Pulis and I don't care if anyone thinks it's the "wrong time".. when is there ever a right time? We're fooked if we don't.. if he goes at least the player's would maybe get a lift up the preverbial kick up the backside and the fans too. P.S. The Stoke fans were brilliant today so go swivel Pulis what else can WE DO?
Look at Sunderland they look like a new side. I reckon if we lose to QPR next week he will be gone for sure. If not then Coates deserves to be relegated and lose millions!
None of this is verified, but my mate say Terry Conroy quite often comes into his shop, and he still gets involved with the club and knows a bit about what's going on. Apparently next season, Coates is stepping down, and Denise Coates is taking over, and "no matter what", Pulis will be gone. Also, he said the Pulis vs Pennant saga, is all down to Jermaine getting it on with TP's daughter, and that's why he still gets taken to all our games, despite not even being on the bench. Of course, it could turn out none of this is true. But it's quite interesting either way.
Mr Coates looked poorly when the TV cameras caught him yesterday. His family didn`t look any better. I think if I had just watched somebody waste £80m-£100m of my money I would look a bit under the weather as well.
Made me giggle that Nicky Joking aside the FACT the PULIS will not, can not, whatever reason we we're crying out for a few Pennant crosses yesterday. Back on topic, I bumped into Harry Burrows before the Villa home game. He said there are (internal problems) and just gave me a wink and a nod! GREAT guy and he loves Stoke City as much as we do... He also so said "It's criminal what's happening inside the club" referring to the above. Whatever Pennant has done so what? SACK him or BACK him he's still on our books Mr Coates. Put ya foot down and sort it. Ellis Short did and as they say... Sunderland are on the up!
