I'm surprised that no one has brought up this meeting.....I apoligize if someone has......I just haven't come across it yet.

    Did anyone actually go ?

Personally I thought this meeting was reasonably well advertised beforehand....although some thought otherwise.

How many actually went, I have just watched the hour long video.....and I would say about fifty.....which surely is pathetic seeing how many people complain from behind the secrecy of their keyboards each day from various websites, plus 6/7000 so called fans who attend home games.

I recognized various faces that regularly attend Fanfests each home game......was it just a meeting of those that tow the party line ?...did others who say what a mess PAFC is at present didn't dare to show their faces at a public meeting.....who knows.

No dramatic questions asked.....no arguments took place.....no obvious differences of opinion......no one walked out.....there was the chance of asking questions without being present.....but all questions/answers where very tame......no squirming from directors remotely obvious.

My observation was..... what a crappy taken video and what poor sound levels....one or two just seemed to be opening their mouths with no sound coming out.....and how no one seemed to know how to turn a mike on.....why was the damn thing continually turned of ?

Has anyone checked the video out.....and what are your views ?

It appeared to me that apathetic Plymouthians were out in force as predicted (not very many!). I didn't go because like most of the silent(ish) majority I don't have huge concerns over the running of the club at the moment. There appears a much improved financial picture and a deal to build a new grandstand looks like it is getting closer. I suspect that it was too early for the vocal keyboard warriors from other sites or they are starting to realise that they don't have very many cohesive arguments to batter the chairman or board over. It seems to have turned into a bit of a non event but from the Chairman's POV he did what was asked in terms of fan engagement- if they cant be bothered to make an effort then to a certain extent it is time to stop criticising from afar.
I think the video and live commentary were organised fairly late in the day which might explain some of the 'issues'. Not sure that the original intent was to broadcast it at all, but the club were seemingly responding to some complaints about the timing of the event.

From what I've read about past meetings I got the distinct impression that the only stuff answered fully was what Brent wanted to answer and anything else was brushed aside without much of an answer at all. Take the meetings with th AFT for example. It takes an eternity to get minutes published and none of that is possible without the club going through it again and again before approving the sanitised edition. Maybe therefore people have begun to think it just isn't worth their time and effort to get to these meetings. The ones that do are not the ones who would question anything particularly. People are happy with the football side of things currently and it has to be said that this is most of the appathetic residents concern above all other things. If the club were doing badly then the vocals would be greater. It was ever thus in football supporter terms.

Because of the team performances Brent is going to get an easy ride from a lot. People on other sites who do nothing but bash Argyle anyway are just full of hot air and have never really done anything other than sit behind keyboards and moan. Many of the moaners don't live anywhere near Plymouth and in some cases not even in the Country so it is even easier for them. I don't trust Brent and as far as I'm concerned have seen nothing to give me confidence so far. I was hopeful at the start but I think that was relief at the club not folding rather than anything else. Things like "There is no plan B" for example when now he has fallen on his backside with plan A he suddenly has if the Herald street signs are anything to go by today. It's stuff like that I don't like and if honest I would not believe a word of anything being put in the public domain at a meeting because of it. It's fair to say that I may be doing him a great disservice with all of that of course. Problem is I still need convincing about a lot of things our James has spouted and see them happen before I give him the benefit of the doubt. Meanwhile my passion about Argyle, the football bit, continues to do well and that is exactly where I concentrate my time.
