"You're up then you're down, you're crying and then you're laughing. You sit there and kick the ball with them and your feet go in one direction then the other, youre out on the pitch with them. Then when they score, it's like the best feeling ever. "Over the past five, six, seven years it's really hit home for me what a community club this is. Last Christmas, when I had the idea that we needed a Fans Social Club at the Club, and I emailed David McNally more through hope than expectation, and I got a lovely reply back saying "Come down to the club, tell us what your idea is, talk to us and tell us how you think it'll work, and if we think it can work we'll support you and get behind you." "To cut a long story short, we've now got 16 volunteers running the Norwich City Fans Social Club which launched in July and we've gone from strength to strength. "If it hadn't been for the Club and the officials we just wouldn't be where we are now. The Club have been absolutely wonderful and that's what the community feel is about. "My love affair with Norwich started in the 70s when my dad took me to the football when I was a young teenager, and we used to sit in the City stand on the old wooden benches to watch the games. As each week went by, I got quite attached to the club and to the football. "It's spanned over many, many years since then, and it's been like a rollercoaster ride, with lots of ups and lots of downs, but we've stayed on for the ride and we're here where we are now." Brilliant. it is part of the reason why I love this club! We are different and also special. Many of the so called top clubs could learn a lot from our way of doing things.
