I just read an Arsenal fan wrote that they are better off waiting for next summer to see if they can get a player like Benzema or Cavani rather than sign an average player like Austin! This sums up the fans at most clubs. They'd rather have the big money galactico signing than someone who has proved it in their league but is at an unfashionable club!
Austin is no Cavani or Benzema. Arsenal is way above his level. He wouldn't improve them so why bother?
I think Arsenal needed to sign someone, a striker especially, and I think Real Madrid and Spurs thought they were but what a clusterfuck they were. West Ham and Burnley seemed to have made astute signings. Ours is a proper mixed bag, both in and out, but bolstered by who we kept.
loved this song....was my bird's name at the time....I got over it. She's still a mate after her two marriages ( both husbands deceased). Lucky break.
