Everytime i see the quote " fans should be refunded after that performance" it really boils my p***.
Why should they?? No-one asks you to support safc. I've been watching them since 1975 and never got anything from the club or asked for owt. (Apart from pain and suffering, with the odd bit of success). We expect the players to give 100% but it doesn't work like that.

If the club had to refund fans for poor performances I would be a very rich man by now :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Equally, imagine if we all backed safc to lose, how rich would we be?

I lost £60 on us last night. I was sure we’d brush them aside :steam:

This entitlement from football fans is fuelling the way the game is going in my opinion.

Fans feel that they deserve to see their team win as a reward for supporting. It makes no sense.

It results in this impatient, instant gratification type of culture which sees managers sacked all the time, dozens of players signed every transfer window, constant grumbling and everybody just wanting the next achievement.

I can almost guarantee that if we get promoted, some fans would complain if we weren't midtable in the first season and then expect to be promoted the season after because "we're Sunderland, we shouldn't be settling for less" or "our fans deserve better".

That's a point - we're a side who are in a much better position and, on paper, should've been an easy win. Do those who say this "Refund fans due to this performance" think that anyone who bet on us as a "banker" should also be refunded?

Agree totally with the OP - you choose to watch your team. I've been to the cinema to watch some awful films! Didn;t ask for my money back after them!

That said - the stream on SAFSEE was awful last night for most of the first hour. Kept freezing.

i had 2-1 and 2-0 to us never again !, so Blackpool to win 3-0, 3-1, 2-0, 2-1, 1-0 knowing my luck blackpool would score an own goal in the last minute and win 3-2. at least you can have a good day out at the seaside down there. That stream was sticking like hell last night as you say and i emailed them.

It's all relative..... it might have been ****e, but I'd take anyone of those years apart from 'The Moyes era' to the dire straits were in atm.

I dont think people actually expect a refund, its a figure of speech at how disapointed they are for wasting money, when the players cant even be arsed and they have been watching shyte football

I was back for Bristol Rovers.

I could ask SAFC to refund my airport car parking, flight, hire car, hotel, match travel & ticket ...

... but why should anyone pay for my stupidity <laugh>

I've flights booked for the Shrewsbury game which I could choose not to use thereby saving all my other costs.

But if we win and get into the top two places it'll have been worth every penny.

If we win at Rotherham to go up I'd happily pay double the cost ...

... none of us ever need to go to a match again, it's our choice and I'm happy with mine.
