So now the #cafc fans’ forum has been told its agenda has been scrapped by the club and they are only allowed to discuss the graffiti and Roland’s offer. He seems to think the attendees are children under his authority.

    This is from Rick Everitt.

    Spot on.
There should be a 100% boycott of all future fans' forum meetings until Duchatelet sells the Club.

If Roland wants fans to buy the Club, would he like to tell us exactly how much money he wants for it?
Everything. Including any ongoing conditions, not just the up-front price.

How can you ask somebody to buy something without telling them what it will cost?
Now he is openly taking the p*ss.

I estimated that if 20,000 Charlton fans pay him £1 per week, that would equal just over a million pounds per year.
If RD wants £40 million then we could pay him his £1 per week for the next 40 years, by which time he will be 115 years old.
    Is that OK with him?

Duchatelet can no longer expect himself to be seen as a reasonable owner by anybody.
His increasingly bizarre behaviour must lead to questions about his state of mind. Other business people who have connections to his companies should maybe begin to worry about his ability to run them properly.

People say he is barking, I say he is going to shaft us in a sale.

I have said all along he will still own Sparrows Lane and The Valley in some form.

The very vocal Aussie spokesman now says the shifting price has always been the sticking point ...that wasn’t the case though last year with all those beer meetings & “next week” and “happening this Friday” rumours.

    My personal opinion -

    1. The Aussie takeover is stone dead

    2. There are no other interested buyers

    3. The club is in the biggest crisis in its history this summer as things stand.

The future of Charlton depends on the whim of someone who was described by the perceptive Simon Jordan as being "Away with the fairies". He has followed the modern trend of adopting victimhood, which he will now trot out at every opportunity, while simultaneously destroying our club. He's made a good start.

Roland's recent ramblings about giving the club away for free, coupled with his talking about the value of the land seem to support the theory that this is what he wants. We're fecked.

Even if we are fecked, even if Roland winds up the Club and sells the land, Charlton Athletic will be reborn.

It will be a hell of a struggle and it will go on for decades, but AFC Charlton will rise just as AFC Wimbledon has risen.
And in the new reborn Charlton Athletic, with the fans forever at its heart, Roland will be forever universally despised. That will be his deserved legacy.

nothing concrete written on the FF meeting yet?

Seems to me that he wants to retain the valley and the training ground, but offload the responsibility of the team (wages, fees, manager, coaches, youth) to someone else so they can cover the operating losses of £500k a month. he wants to retain the profitable bit - 22 homes games a year would provide him some money, as well as any money made in and around the training ground (develop property??). he wants to split the club from the ground and training ground as he's worked out he's now bled us dry talent wise and that it's not going to fund itself anymore.

things need to step up a bit IMO in the protest department.
