Alright lads, good draw today, too early to give a fair opinion on him, but Fletcher couldn't have done anymore - great start to his Sunderland career.

Anyway I was up in Glasgow today helping my sister move house so didn't see any of the footy, but read on twitter that when Neil Taylor went off injured (broken leg?) there was boo's from the Sunderland fans?

Was it a misunderstanding? Was it a minority?

Not looking for a bit of oneupmanship, we had a few racist mongs at the Blackburn away match - things like this happen, they're embarrassing but shouldn't be pushed under the carpet....Can anyone shed any light?

    EDIT: Quite clearly not Ferguson

No idea mate. As far as I'm aware Sunderland fans applauded him with the rest of the stadium, but a mag reckons there were boos.

Also it's fletcher, not ferguson :p

    Who the **** is Ferguson?

The booing was from Swansea fans to Gardener for their player fouling him and ****ing his ankle

And why dont you **** off?

I was only able to watch developments on Sky. From what was said there he made a reckless challenge and came off second.

I can only think the boos were because fans thought he was overplaying things because of his bad challenge.

I might be wrong, but, hey, we want nobody seriously injured - none of us I hope.

I trust it was bad communication.

Bit unnecessary...Why bother answering at all if you're gunna come out with **** like that?

Sounds about right, it was all over twitter, but it was obviously coming from Mag fans watching the match so I did wonder if they were just jumping on a few boo's and making a big deal of it!

...As for the Ferguson/Fletcher thing, I'm putting that down to lack of sleep, my niece is staying with us and had me awake till 5:30, I was out of the house by 7:30 to head up to Glasgow.

Your post was intended to annoy (hence the Ferguson slight as you know exactly what his name is) so it is responded to in a similar vein. Had you come on in honesty I'd have resonded likewise

So **** off again for pretending to be shocked.

from in front of my laptop it seemed more like the swansea fans giving it to gardner for his gall in being fouled and landing on their player. soon as i saw the replay i knew it was a nasty one.

if anyone exacerbated things it was probably o'shea - apparently he was remonstrating with a few home supporters on the touch line, pointing out that gardner was the one who was fouled. he had a point, but i don't think they took too kindly to it.

anyone got any news on the lad who got injured?

A lot of fans were booing a lot of things; the ref was appalling (mystifying decisions against both teams) but I saw most of the Sunderland supporters applaud Taylor off the field. Have read the threads on here and the supposed booing of Taylor is a non issue, didn't happen! My fellow Swans posters seem to agree; a molehill that some magpies are trying to turn into a mountain I think! Taylor's challenge was rash, and unfortunately the lad suffered for it - Gardner, imo, was blameless! Last word has to go to Laudrup who considered the injury very unlucky, not in any way malicious! Really hope that puts this non-issue to bed!

Stay classy mackems. Also heard saint martin was kicking off on the touchline, must've been hearing things though as he'd never do that.

pretty rubbish. it was either ankle or knee by the way his foot twisted round, he got both his and gardner's full weight on it.

Its your board and its a free forum, you're free to say what you like...In that vein: Get a ****ing grip, I've never once wummed the board, I (unlike you) don't spend my time bickering like a needy little child [I guess this is an exception], I (unlike you) don't refer to other members by using 'witty, highly original' names like a 2nd rate playground bully with an imagination barrier. If you want to spend your day finding conspiracies where there are none, looking for an excuse to chat ****e at people who ask geuine questions then crack on, its your life, waste it as you wish!

Well said lad. Ignore the mag tossers.

You have a mighty goof football team there and I am well chuffed to get a point today. Agree 100% about the ref he was ****e. The tackle on McClean was at least a booking or even a red card as he went in 2 footed and wreck-less. He wasn't even spoken to. The sending off was harsh imo although it was a foul and maybe at the most a booking.

Still, you will do well this season imo and that lad Muchu looks a cracking buy.

    Good luck boyo. Lol
